Model A Knot Puller
Frequently Asked Questions
-
Is the black material slick? Will the line slip when I cinch knots?
The black material has the right combination of durability and traction so that your line will not slip. Just make sure to wrap the line around each of the rods at least three times to build up enough friction to keep your line from slipping.
-
What kind of line can I use?
Monofilament, fluorocarbon and spectra lines from 8 lbs up to 300 lbs works great.
-
What’s the difference between Model A and Model B?
Model A consists of two plain rods. Model B consists of one plain rod plus one rod with a through hole for a hook.
-
Will the black material damage my line?
No. It does not have a rough texture that could chafe / scratch your line. You will notice that the black material will show line marks as you cinch knots – the black material is softer than your spectra / mono / fluoro line, which helps your line grip the rods while not damaging it.

What size hook is that in the picture?
It is a 6/0 Owner ringed Super Mutu circle hook. The hole can also accommodate Mustad 91450 hooks up to 7/0 and as small as 2/0, although many 1/0 J and circle hook sizes can pass through the through hole also.
